The Loom House began as a Moldstad-designed home comprised of a main and guest residence, referred to as the South and the North house respectively, and linked by an outdoor patio.  We will live in the South house and colonize the garage and an adjunct below-level bedroom to create more living space. We will work in the North house and also have a place for guests. The home sits on .65 acres that overlook Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline. When completed, the entire project will be completely self-sufficient for water, power and waste treatment, and will collect water to nourish the surrounding landscape.

The Place Petal also requires us to find a way to grow food that sustains those living in the house. This is a big challenge for a wooded lot, but Anne James stepped up to the challenge!  You can read more details in her blog here.
